am I ?!?!



Hello!! I’m Mara!! I’m a visual artist and 2D animator from Romania. 
I make art to help me make sense of my feelings, memories, and the human experience in general. It’s my way of processing emotions and relationships, and I treat it like a visual journal where I document my life. My work often draws on themes of nostalgia and longing I’m really into experimenting with how visuals and music can come together to create a meaningful piece of art, since I’m passionate about both.

About:

This project was a personal exercise in branding and gave me a chance to experiment with different ways to showcase a musical artist I love. I played around with textures, techniques, and software, which pushed me to explore new creative directions. Through this process, I started to really find my style and realized how much I’m drawn to the world of branding and the music industry. It showed me that I want to work with animation that blends with music, combining the two in a way that feels right. It was a big moment for me in figuring out where I want to go with my  work.

About:


This is a group project based on the childrens book “Little Red Riding Hood” adapted into a thriller for adults.  We created a teaser to pitch  our idea for an animated series.

Logline: Little Red Riding Hood’s idyllic childhood is shattered by a mysterious man in the woods, which propels her into a relentless pursuit for retribution and closure filled with violence and darkness, mirroring the abyss from which she seeks escape.
