Aluminium Statue
This was a group project we did at the end of high school to show our appreciation for our principal. The idea was to combine recycling with sculpture, as a way to show we care about the environment. Throughout our last year, we had a sign outside our classroom that said, "We collect aluminum foil from sandwiches." We gathered, washed, and recycled a year's worth of foil from the entire school to create the sculpture. The finished piece was made entirely out of aluminum foil, and we got to display it at graduation, where the First Lady of Romania was present and even congratulated us on our work.
